P bushings are the most-popular and least-expensive type of drill bushing. P bushings are permanently pressed into the jig plate, usually flush with the top surface. They are generally used for single-operation drilling or reaming, when you do not expect to replace bushings during the tooling's lifetime. P bushings can be mounted closer together than headed bushings, but offer less resistance to heavy axial loads. Standard ID Tolerance:
- From #80 to 1/4": +0.0001 / +0.0004
- Over 1/4" to 3/4": +0.0001 / +0.0005
- Over 3/4" to 1-1/2": +0.0002 / +0.0006
Standard OD Tolerance:
- From 5/32" to 13/64": +0.0016 / +0.0012
- Over 1/4" to 13/32": +0.0016 / +0.0013
- Over 7/16" to 5/8": +0.0017 / +0.0014
- Over 3/4" to 1": +0.0018 / +0.0015
